Power Outage Alert: 3-Hour Electricity Supply Disruption in Namkum on Sunday
Ranchi: The Jharkhand Urja Sancharan Nigam Limited (JUSNL) has announced a temporary power cut in several parts of Namkum on Sunday, June 1, 2026, due to essential maintenance work at the 132/33 kV Grid Sub-Station.
According to the official notice, repair work will be carried out on the 33 kV Half Main Bus and the 33 kV Pani Tanki Feeder Main Bus Isolator. As a result, power supply will remain completely suspended from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (3 hours) in the affected areas.

- Khelgaon
- RMCH (RIMS Main Road area)
- Namkum
- Pani Tanki and surrounding localities
JUSNL officials stated that the maintenance is necessary to ensure the safety and smooth functioning of the electricity infrastructure. “This work will help in strengthening the power system and preventing future faults,” an official said.
The department has appealed to all consumers to complete their essential tasks in advance and bear the temporary inconvenience for long-term benefit. Power supply is expected to be restored by 12:00 PM once the repair work is completed.
Residents are advised to stay updated and take necessary precautions, especially those running medical facilities, water pumps, or small businesses in the affected zones.
