BJP Workers Protest Over Missing Toddler in Ranchi, Demand High-Level Probe

Ranchi: Public anger is mounting in Ranchi over the disappearance of 18-month-old Aditi Pandey, who has been missing from the city’s Kokar locality since May 9 with no trace found so far. On Wednesday, BJP workers descended on Sadar police station to stage a protest against the administration and submitted a memorandum demanding a high-level investigation into the case.

The demonstration saw the participation of hundreds of BJP workers, including party leaders Sanjeev Vijayvargiya and Ramesh Singh. Protesters demanded that the administration take swift and concrete action to find the child safely.

The family is said to be inconsolable. Despite 12 days having passed since the toddler’s disappearance, no concrete lead has emerged. As part of the search efforts, an NDRF team conducted a thorough search of a drain behind the house, while a municipal corporation team carried out a multi-day search operation across the surrounding areas, yet Aditi remains untraced.

With protests continuing, questions are now also being raised over the pace and effectiveness of the administration’s response to the case.
