KK Khandelwal’s Students Sweep Jharkhand’s IIT JEE Advanced 2025 Rankings

Ranchi: In a remarkable achievement for a first-time coaching batch, students of former IAS officer KK Khandelwal have claimed both the top positions in IIT JEE Advanced 2025 results from Jharkhand.

Shaurya Shekhar, who secured an All India Rank (AIR) of 414, has been named Jharkhand’s state topper, while his batchmate Snehal Raj Singh, with an AIR of 635, has claimed the second position in the state. Both students prepared under the mentorship of KK Khandelwal at Khandelwal Classes in Jharkhand.

Khandelwal personally guided the two students in Physics and Mathematics, while R.K. Gupta provided coaching in Chemistry.

Following the announcement of results, both students and their parents visited Khandelwal Classes to personally express their gratitude to their mentor for his expert guidance and dedicated support throughout their preparation.

KK Khandelwal is himself an IITian and retired as Additional Chief Secretary from the Jharkhand government. His connection with IIT runs deep, his son Anupam Khandelwal previously secured an impressive AIR 9, and his nephew Aniket Khandelwal achieved AIR 56 in the same examination.

What makes this achievement all the more significant is that this was Khandelwal’s first batch since retiring from government service. Producing both of Jharkhand’s top rankers in his very first batch has been hailed as a landmark accomplishment. Under his overall guidance to date, more than 20 students have successfully cleared IIT JEE Advanced with strong all-India ranks.

The success of Shaurya Shekhar and Snehal Raj Singh is being widely celebrated in Jharkhand as a testament to the quality of local mentorship available to aspirants who choose to prepare for one of India’s most competitive examinations without leaving their home state.
