Unscheduled Power Cut Today In Bangaluru HAL Subdivision (May 12)

Bengaluru: Several localities in south and east Bengaluru, particularly under the HAL subdivision, experienced unscheduled power supply disruptions on Tuesday, May 12.

The outages, which occurred amid the peak summer season, caused inconvenience to residents and affected daily routines. The affected areas receive power from the 66/11KV HAL MUSS F13 Feeder 250kVA New Post Office Transformer.

Bengaluru Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) confirmed the fault through a post on X (formerly Twitter), stating:

“As of now there is an interruption in 66/11KV HAL MUSS F13 Feeder 250kva New Post Office Transformer Fault.”

According to BESCOM, power supply is expected to be restored by 3:00 PM (15:00 Hrs) on Tuesday.

Note: BESCOM has not released any prior official notification regarding a scheduled power cut for May 12. The disruption appears to be due to a technical fault.
