Ranchi Municipal Corporation Demolishes 5 Illegal Structures in Anti-Encroachment Drive
Ranchi: The Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) on Monday launched a special anti-encroachment drive in the Bandhgari area of Ward No. 06, targeting illegal constructions built on government land and drainage channels.
During the operation, five illegal structures that had been erected on government land and over drainage drains were demolished and removed by the municipal enforcement team.
The RMC’s enforcement team identified and cleared structures that had been obstructing the natural flow of drains and waterways. According to the corporation, the removal of these encroachments will help restore smooth drainage in the area and significantly reduce the problem of waterlogging during the monsoon season.
The municipal corporation reiterated that encroachment of any kind on government land, public properties, and drainage channels is strictly unacceptable. Officials noted that such illegal constructions not only cause damage to public property but also severely disrupt the drainage system, causing hardship to residents during the rainy season.
The RMC has appealed to citizens to refrain from encroaching upon government land and drainage channels. The corporation has also issued a stern warning that strict action will continue to be taken against those who violate rules, and such drives will be carried out regularly going forward.
