Ranchi Airport Flight Schedules Revised Amid Monsoon Disruptions, Check Details
Ranchi: Ranchi’s Birsa Munda Airport has announced revisions to several flight schedules as airlines adjust operations to cope with monsoon-related disruptions, according to airline officials.
Ahmedabad and Patna Routes Affected
IndiGo’s Ranchi-Ahmedabad service will now operate five days a week, with flights scheduled on Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Passengers travelling between the two cities on Mondays or Thursdays will need to make alternate travel plans.
The Ranchi-Patna route will see flights operate on all days except Tuesday and Thursday, effectively reducing service on this corridor to five days a week as well.
Kolkata and Chennai Services Also Revised
IndiGo flight 6E-7251, which connects Ranchi to Kolkata, will be suspended three days a week. The flight will not operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Saturdays going forward.
Meanwhile, the Ranchi-Chennai route will now run four days a week, with flights available on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Airport officials noted that weather conditions during the monsoon season can significantly affect flight operations. Heavy rainfall, reduced visibility, and adverse weather can lead to delays or last-minute changes to flight timings, prompting airlines to adjust schedules proactively during this period.
Advisory for Passengers
Travellers flying out of Ranchi have been advised to check the latest flight updates through airline websites, mobile apps, or helpline numbers before heading to the airport. Airlines have also urged passengers to arrive well ahead of their boarding time and carry all necessary travel documents to avoid last-minute inconvenience.
With monsoon conditions expected to persist over the coming weeks, further adjustments to flight schedules cannot be ruled out, and passengers are encouraged to stay updated closer to their travel dates.
