Gunshot Victim Hospitalised After Firing Incident in Namkum’s Maulana Azad Colony

Ranchi: A shooting incident on Wednesday evening sent shockwaves through Maulana Azad Colony, located within the Namkum police station jurisdiction in Ranchi, Jharkhand.

According to reports, unidentified assailants opened fire on a young man near a gym in the area, leaving him injured. The victim has been identified as Shamsher. Residents at the scene rushed to his aid and transported him to a nearby hospital, where he is currently receiving medical treatment.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the Namkum police swiftly reached the spot and launched an investigation. Officers are currently scanning CCTV footage from cameras installed in the vicinity in an effort to identify and apprehend the attackers.

The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and police have not yet made any arrests. The investigation is ongoing.
