   Premium mandarin oranges cultivated in the Khasi Hills. Famous for their vibrant orange colour, easy-to-peel skin, high juice content, rich aroma, and excellent sweetness. The unique high-altitude climate and traditional farming practices of the Khasi people give this variety its superior quality. It is one of the most recognised GI products from Meghalaya.
3. Lakadong Turmeric (Application No. 741)
   Registered: 15.02.2021 (Agricultural)
   World-renowned turmeric variety from the Lakadong area of Jaintia Hills. It stands out for its exceptionally high curcumin content (often above 7–8%, among the highest in the world), deep golden-orange colour, strong aroma, and potent medicinal properties. Grown organically by tribal farmers, Lakadong Turmeric has gained international acclaim for its quality and purity.

4. Meghalaya Garo Textile (Application No. 1094)

   Traditional handwoven textiles of the Garo tribe, featuring bold geometric patterns, vibrant natural colours, and motifs inspired by nature and Garo folklore. Made primarily from cotton on backstrap or pit looms, these fabrics are used for garments, shawls, and ceremonial wear.
5. Meghalaya Lyrnai Pottery (Application No. 1095)

   Traditional pottery craft from the Lyrnai village and surrounding areas in the Jaintia Hills. Artisans create functional and decorative earthenware using age-old hand-building and firing techniques. 6. Meghalaya Ryndia Textile (Application No. 1112)

   Fine handwoven fabrics made from indigenous Ryndia silk (a type of eri or tussar silk) by Khasi and Jaintia communities. Known for their natural golden sheen, softness, breathability, and traditional motifs, Ryndia textiles are used for shawls, stoles, and garments.
