  1. Predicate Offence: A foundational or scheduled criminal act (like corruption)
    that generates illegal funds, which acts as the basis for a subsequent money
    laundering charge.
  2. Double-Deflation: An economic statistical technique where both the inputs and outputs of an industry are adjusted for inflation separately to measure the
    true “Real Value Added”.
  3. Nadir: The lowest, darkest, or most unsuccessful point in a situation (e.g.,
    “India-Canada relations touched a nadir in 2023”).
  4. Conflagration: An extensive destructive fire; historically used to describe a
    massive, spreading geopolitical war or conflict.
  5. Sub judice: Under judicial consideration; a matter currently being heard in
    court and therefore prohibited from public discussion or legislative
    interference.
