    World-renowned turmeric variety from the Lakadong area of Jaintia Hills. It stands out for its exceptionally high curcumin content (often above 7–8%, among the highest in the world), deep golden-orange colour, strong aroma, and potent medicinal properties. Grown organically by tribal farmers, Lakadong Turmeric has gained international acclaim for its quality and purity.

  2. Meghalaya Lyrnai Pottery (Application No. 1095)

    Traditional pottery craft from the Lyrnai village and surrounding areas in the Jaintia Hills.     Traditional fermented rice beer of the Khasi and Jaintia communities. Prepared using indigenous methods and local ingredients, Chubitchi holds deep cultural and social significance in rituals, festivals, and daily life. It is the first GI-tagged traditional alcoholic beverage from Meghalaya.
